[Aim]
Building future scenarios through discussions of the development of an ideal community from the perspective of energy supply based on Japanse national 2050 carbon neutral goal and Fukushima Prefecture’s efforts toward 100% renewable energy use by 2040
[Activities]
1. Launch renewable energy projects in Shinchi and assess potential energy savings
Install meteorological equipment at three locations in the town to measure solar radiation, etc.
Analyze household smart meter data Launch projects for wind power & business sector, hydraulic power & transportation sector, and biomass & industrial sector in the next fiscal year onward
2. Review a desirable framework and methods to introduce energy technologies
Conduct interviews with and study materials published by regional new power producers and suppliers in Japan and Stadtwerke in Germany (seven entities in total)
